When completing enrollments through Availity, you may notice that the enrollment instructions list an Availity Customer ID that does not belong to your organization. This is completely expected and correct. All enrollments managed through Candid must be submitted using Candid’s universal Availity Customer ID: 881407. This single ID applies across all payers and ensures that your account is properly linked within the clearinghouse network.
Submitting enrollments under your organization's own direct Availity ID instead will disrupt the data pipeline between Availity and Candid. Using Candid's Customer ID ensures that your claim submission connection is properly established from Candid and that claim status updates, remittance files (ERAs), and eligibility checks route seamlessly into the Candid platform.
To maintain uninterrupted data flow, always verify that 881407 is listed as the Customer ID across all your enrollment forms and setup files before submission. If you ever see a different ID pre-populated or have questions about your configuration, please reach out to the Candid EDI team at enrollment-support@candidhealthhelp.zendesk.com before proceeding.
