What is covered in this article?
This article walks you through on how to login if your organization already has single sign-on (SSO) enabled. For more information on how to request and set up single sign-on (SSO), please see Setting up SSO with Candid. Note: Removal of Candid access must also be done internally by your company's IT team (not by Candid or your Organization Admins on the Candid account).
STEP 1: Reach out to your IT help desk to ensure Candid is added to your SSO
If you are a new user, who has never accessed Candid before, you may need to reach out to your company's internal IT help desk to ensure Candid is part of your SSO login.
Note 1: If your SSO is already enabled within a Google Workspace, you may not see Candid in your respective SSO login page, you should just login to the Candid app (see Step 4). If your organization uses Okta workforce (or similar), you may have the app show up in your SSO home page.
Note 2: Users who are provisioned with Candid access via SSO do not need to be invited via the Users page of Candid (only provisioned access internally via their IT team) - attempting to add the user with the +Invite button of the Users page in Candid may cause a "Failed to Invite User" error.
STEP 2: A Candid Organization Admin of your organization needs to provision your role
By default, all employees logging in for the first time via SSO will not be able to view any PHI.
Once a new employee in the organization has logged onto Candid, they will show up in the Users Application. Any Organization Administrator of your organization can update role levels to change their access to the Candid platform.
Learn more on user roles and how an Organization Admin can change a user role level at: Creating and Managing User Accounts & Permissions.
STEP 3 (if applicable): If you are part of a multi-organization and require access to additional organizations within Candid, reach out to support@
If you are part of an organization with multiple instances in Candid and require access to multiple organizations in Candid, please reach out to support@joincandidhealth.com for assistance.
STEP 4: Login via SSO at https://app.joincandidhealth.com/
Navigate to the Candid App URL https://app.joincandidhealth.com/ where you should enter your work email. The Candid system should recognize that your domain is SSO based, and redirect you to your organization's SSO login system / identity provider (after you provide your email, but before you are asked for a password).
